Invitation Letter for Project Fair
November 20th. 2010
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
A few weeks ago I received a kind invitation from our DG Cuauhtémoc Mendez, to coordinate the works for the First Bi-national Project Fair, to be held in San Diego Ca. on Feb. 4, 5, and 6th, 2011. I must say that I gladly accepted, knowing that this represents an opportunity to be of service to our Rotary Foundation, our Districts, our Clubs, and most importantly, our less privileged communities.
A Project Fair offers participants the opportunity to promote their Service and Humanitarian Projects in an environment which will allow them to discuss them in person in the likelihood that the projects will gain support from the international attendees. A Project Fair is also a great opportunity to meet Rotarians from other countries and foster lifetime friendships.
The Fair will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 2270 Hotel Circle North, in San Diego, CA 92108, the hotel is conveniently located and offers many amenities which will make your participation a very pleasant experience. We are currently working diligently to create the budget, the requirements to present the projects and finalizing the actual program. In the meantime, please spread the word among your fellow members; PDRI Don Mebus and PDRI Francisco Creo as well as PDG Philippe Lamoise, will be among the speakers, Clubs from District 4100 from Mexico, will present their Humanitarian and Service Projects aiming to get support for them.
Come and enjoy the Mexican hospitality right in your own backyard! Meet Rotarians from other Clubs and Districts, strengthen old friendships, and find opportunities to support a Service Project.
Let’s participate with enthusiasm and make this event a tradition for many years to come, and benefit those in need in our communities!
Yours in Rotary Service,
Sofia Sotomayor Magaña President of the 2011Project Fair Organizing Committee
